The Festival of Dreams is a new arts and culture festival taking place on August 25-27, 2023 in the Eureka Cultural District – by the shores of Wigi (Humboldt Bay) in beautiful Halvorsen park and Old Town – and celebrating everything that is whimsical, weird, and wonderful about the community and world we inhabit! This event is FREE for everyone, and everyone is encouraged to participate wearing the costume of their dreams!
FEstival SChedule
Friday, August 25
- The Parade of Dreams, 6 PM
- This costume parade through Old Town is open to the whole community to participate! Come in costume and meet at the C street gravel parking lot between 5:30-6 PM. The Parade starts at 6 PM and winds through Old Town and the Friday Night Market, also featuring a special performance by The Sanctuary at the Clarke Plaza.
- Block Party hosted by Bella Vita Fire Dance Company, 4 PM-10:30PM
- Open House at MendenHall Studios from 4 PM – 8:30 PM, featuring Astipercussion Ensemble, Humboldt Hotties, and the Bella Vita Fire Dance Company.
- Afternoon Music in the Phatsy Kline’s Lounge from 4 PM – 6 PM featuring Halley Faye and Rye Stone
- Night Cap at Phatsy Klines’ from 8:30-10:30 PM, featuring DJ Funky T Rex and MC Lionisachar

Saturday, August 26
- The Festival of Dreams in Halvorsen Park, 10 AM-10 PM
- Come in costume and enjoy a fun-filled day by the bay, including:
- Site-specific outdoor art pieces by 20+ local artists.
- Live music and performances from 12-8 PM.
- 40+ vendors.
- Food, drink, and games – including special editions of the Bogglebang scavenger hunt, and a new Marble Hunt organized by Copious Glass.
- Also check out the outdoor painting session at the Gazebo Plaza, organized by the Epitome Gallery.

Sunday, August 27
- Low-Stimulation Day in Halvorsen Park, 10 AM-2 PM
- No bands, performances, or loud noise. Come wander through Halvorsen Park and enjoy the art in the peace and quiet.
