The North Coast Repertory Theatre announces open auditions for The Importance of Being Earnest, by Oscar Wilde. Both auditions will be held at NCRT, 300 Fifth Street, Eureka.

Production Dates:
July 12-August 4, 2018. Rehearsals will begin May 29, 2018.

Satire sweeps onto the NCRT stage with Oscar Wilde’s biting comedy of manners, The Importance of Being Earnest. Algernon lives in the city. Jack lives in the country. Both of them live double lives. But when Algernon pretends to be Jack’s imaginary brother Ernest in order to meet an eligible young lady, comedic mayhem breaks loose.
Parts available for 4 women and 5 men of all ages.

NCRT encourages actors from all backgrounds to audition, and advocates color-conscious casting. Monologues are not required but will be heard if an actor wishes to perform a monologue. Auditions will be with selected readings from the script.
